How It Began

From a Family
Kitchen to Odisha

Uzano Foods was not born in a boardroom. It was born on a rooftop in Bhubaneswar, where papads were laid out to dry under the summer sun — exactly as they had been for generations.

Our founder watched as this tradition slowly disappeared — replaced by factory-made papads with artificial additives and none of the character of handmade food. He decided to bring it back, at scale, without compromising a single step.

Today, Uzano Foods produces authentic sun-dried papads and traditional Odia food products from Bhubaneswar — using the same methods, the same ingredients, and the same patience as the original recipe.

A Rooftop Realisation

Watching the last traditional papad-makers in Bhubaneswar, our founder resolves to preserve and scale this craft — without industrial shortcuts.

The Recipe
Perfecting the Formula

Months of testing with master papad-makers from Cuttack and Puri. The Uzano process is documented — 3-day sun-drying, hand-rolling, no machinery for core steps.

Certified for Quality

Uzano Foods receives FSSAI food safety certification. Our production facility in Bhubaneswar is fully compliant and inspected.

Odisha Finds Its Papad

First 20 kirana stores in Bhubaneswar begin stocking Uzano papads. Sell-out in the first month. Waiting lists begin forming.

Master papad-maker trained in Cuttack's oldest papad-making families. Guardian of the Uzano recipe and process standards.

Ensures every batch meets our quality standards before leaving the facility. Responsible for FSSAI compliance and food safety protocols.
